When it comes to purchasing dog food, you always have to consider the following question: do you want organic dry dog food or do you want organic wet dog food? Each type has their advantages and disadvantages. Here we will look at them both and you can make your own decision.
Advantages of Dry Dog Food:
1. Convenience: It is just more convenient to have a big bag and pour it out, as you need it. You can buy a 10 or 20-pound bag and store it in a container. This way you always have it around. Plus, dogs will eat less of dry dog food. Let’s face it. Dogs will eat what you give them. If I give my dogs three cups, they will eat three cups. If I only give them two, they will only eat two
2. Cheaper: Anytime you buy in bulk, it is cheaper than buying individually. When you buy wet it is going to cost you more. Therefore, when you buy the dry dog food it is just going to be cheaper than wet any day of the week.
Advantages of Wet Dog Food:
1. Digestible: It is easier to digest. If your dog has problems with digestion or happens to be sick, then obviously this is the better choice. However, you need make sure there is some crunch in there for their teeth.
2. Texture: If your dog is old or has teeth problems, it is easier on the teeth and gums. This will make it easier to eat.
In either case, organic dog food is the best choice. Organic dry dog food is better for a dog’s overall health, as they need it for teeth and digestion. There are cases when wet is best but dog owners know their dogs. Choose wisely and do what is right for your dog.
